Toasts, dialogs and snackbars
Key points
- A Toast shows a short message that disappears on its own and takes no action.
- A Snackbar appears at the bottom and can carry one action, such as Undo.
- A dialog interrupts the user and asks for a decision before they continue.

- Logcat shows the log messages your app and the system write while the app runs.
- Log.d, Log.i, Log.w and Log.e write messages at different priority levels.
- Filter Logcat by package, tag or level to find your own messages quickly.
