CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Expected Dates and How to Download

Short answer

The CBSE 2027 date sheet is not out yet (checked 27 October 2026). News reports expect it in the coming weeks. Based on those reports:

• Class 10 keeps the two-exam system: the main exam is expected in February–March 2027, and an optional second exam in May 2027 to improve scores (best of two counts).
• Class 12 exams are expected in February–March 2027.

These are expected months, not official dates. When CBSE publishes the PDF on cbse.gov.in, I'll update this page with the exact timetable.

How to download the date sheet when it's released

1. Go to cbse.gov.in.
2. Open the "Latest @ CBSE" or Examination section.
3. Look for "Date Sheet for Class X / XII Examination 2027".
4. Download the PDF. Check the date, day and subject code for each of your subjects.
5. Save it and share it with your parents. Stick a printout on your study wall.

Be careful with forwarded PDFs on WhatsApp. Fake date sheets go viral every year. If it isn't on cbse.gov.in, don't trust it.

What we know about the two-exam system (Class 10)

Point	What reports say
First exam	Feb–Mar 2027, main exam for all
Second exam	May 2027, optional, for improvement
Which score counts	The better of the two
Class 12	One main board exam, Feb–Mar 2027 expected

Exact rules (which subjects, how many you can improve) come in CBSE's official circulars. Read them, or ask your school.

Pass marks

Reports say students need at least 33% in each subject to pass. Your school can confirm how theory and internal marks combine for your subjects.

What to do before the date sheet comes

You don't need the date sheet to start revising. Here's what I'd suggest to any Class 10 or 12 student right now:

1. Finish the syllabus in the subjects you find hardest first.
2. Solve the CBSE sample papers for 2026-27 when they're on the CBSE academic site.
3. Make a one-page formula or key-point sheet per chapter.
4. Once the date sheet is out, plan backwards from your first paper.
