Terms of use
Version 2026-10-06 · in effect from 6 October 2026
These terms are written in plain language. Part A is for learners. Part B is for anyone checking a YUNOVA certificate. You are asked to tick a box agreeing to them before you sign in and before you take a certificate.
Part A: for learners
1. What YUNOVA is
YUNOVA is a free learning website run by one person. It organises lessons into paths and adds key points, practice, quizzes, tests and an AI Mentor. It is not a school, college, university or exam board. There is no course fee, no subscription and no advertising by YUNOVA. Support payments (“buy us a coffee”) are voluntary, are not a purchase and unlock nothing.
2. Lessons come from independent creators
The lesson videos are made by independent creators and play in YouTube’s own player, under YouTube’s terms. YUNOVA does not own them and does not endorse everything a creator says or links to. A video may change, be removed or become unavailable at any time; whether a video is available is up to its creator and YouTube. We review and refresh video information regularly and try to replace a video that is no longer available, but cannot promise to do so at once.
YUNOVA uses YouTube API Services. By using YUNOVA you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service; see also the Google Privacy Policy. How creators can ask for a video to be removed or changed is in our content and copyright policy.
3. Your own effort decides what you learn
We have organised lessons, key points, practice and tests intended to be enough to understand each skill at the level stated, but what you learn depends on your own attention, practice and time. Watching a video is not the same as being able to do the work. YUNOVA does not guarantee any outcome, job, income or exam result.
- Lessons can contain mistakes or go out of date. Check anything important (money, health, law, safety, exams) with an official or qualified source.
- Exam-preparation material is practice, not the official syllabus; follow your exam body’s own notices.
- Hands-on work (for example electrical work, tools, or software on your own computer) is done at your own risk, with proper supervision where needed.
4. The AI Mentor
The AI Mentor is an AI system, not a person or a teacher. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, so check what it says. It gives up to 20 replies a day, is not available during tests, and does not keep a history of your conversation. Do not share personal, financial or health details with it.
5. Certificates
Where a skill offers one, a certificate records what you completed on YUNOVA: the topics, the topic tests and final test you passed and, where required, a practical project approved by YUNOVA. It is not an industry certification, licence, degree or accreditation, and it does not assess or certify your proficiency. Some skills do not issue certificates yet. See what a certificate means.
6. Honest work
- Take tests yourself, without another person or tool answering for you.
- Do not copy, publish or share test questions or answers.
- Submit only project work you did yourself. Learning from a lesson or tutorial is fine; passing off someone else’s work is not.
YUNOVA may revoke a certificate obtained dishonestly or by misusing the site.
7. Community
Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, spam, scams, advertising, or sharing anyone’s personal details. Post only what you have the right to share; you are responsible for what you post. YUNOVA may hide or remove posts and limit accounts that break these rules. Use the report option on a post to tell us about a problem.
8. Young learners
If you are under 18, please use YUNOVA with the knowledge and guidance of a parent or guardian, and do not share personal details in the community.
9. Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep your account to yourself. You may delete your account, and everything attached to it, yourself and at any time from your profile; a certificate deleted with your account stops verifying. YUNOVA may suspend an account used to break these terms.
10. Privacy
How YUNOVA handles your information is described in the privacy notice, written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind. In short: views and searches are counted in aggregate, a visitor-interest cookie remembers what you looked at, and there are no advertising trackers.
11. Availability and changes
YUNOVA is provided as it is and as available. It may be down at times, and lessons, skills and features may change or end. When these terms change in a way that matters, the version above changes and you will be asked to agree again.
12. Responsibility
YUNOVA is free and offered in good faith. To the extent the law allows, YUNOVA is not responsible for loss arising from your use of the site, from third-party videos or links, or from decisions you or others make based on what you learned or on a certificate. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian consumer law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India. For a question, a complaint or to report misuse, write to helpyunova@gmail.com. See also the privacy notice.

Part B: for people checking a certificate
What a YUNOVA certificate means
It means the named learner completed, on YUNOVA, the topics listed on the record, passed the topic tests and the final test for that level and, where the skill requires it, had a practical project approved by YUNOVA.
It does not mean the holder was examined under supervised conditions, holds a degree, licence, accreditation or industry certification, or can do the work to any particular standard. More: about YUNOVA certificates.
How to verify one
Scan the QR code on the certificate, or open /verify/ followed by its code. The page shows the record as it was frozen when the certificate was issued. “Record unchanged since issue” means the stored record still matches that snapshot exactly; if it does not, the page says so. A code that leads nowhere means there is no such certificate, or it was deleted.
Your decisions are your own
- YUNOVA is not an accrediting body and gives no warranty about the holder’s knowledge, ability or character.
- Any decision about the holder (hiring, admission, payment or anything else) is yours. Check further where it matters.
- Use the record only to check the certificate, and do not copy or publish the holder’s details beyond what that needs.
The holder’s privacy
A verify page shows only what the certificate itself shows: the holder’s name, the skill, the level, what was completed and when. It shows nothing else about them, and these pages are not listed by search engines.
Report suspected misuse
If you think a certificate is misused, belongs to someone else or was obtained dishonestly, write to helpyunova@gmail.com with its code. YUNOVA will look into it and may revoke the certificate.
