Draft for founder and legal review.
Your learning is personal.
We treat it that way.
What YUNOVA stores
Your account (your name and email address, from Google sign-in), the answers you give when you set up a skill (your current level, your goal and your target level), the plan built from them, and which topics you have finished. If you ask us to teach a skill next, we store that skill and, if you give one, your email address.
Why
To build your learning plan, to show you where you are in it, and to decide which skill to build next. Your answers are never sold, and they never change what YUNOVA recommends to anyone else.
Videos
Lessons play in YouTube’s own embedded player. YouTube may set cookies and receive information about your device when a video loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s Terms of Service. YUNOVA does not combine your learning data with YouTube statistics.
What YUNOVA remembers on this device before you sign in
If you are not signed in, YUNOVA keeps one small cookie on your device, called yn_interests. It lists up to 20 skills, categories or Study programmes you opened on YUNOVA (or that a search on YUNOVA found), how many times you opened each, and the day you last did. We use it only to suggest Quicks and to show “Quicks for you” on the homepage. It lasts 180 days, and it is deleted sooner when you clear it.
It is first-party: only YUNOVA sets it and reads it. It holds nothing about other websites, no IP address and no device fingerprint, and YUNOVA keeps no copy of it on its servers. It is never sold or shared, and nothing anyone pays for changes what it suggests. When you sign in, YUNOVA asks once whether you want to follow the skills you looked at; nothing is followed unless you choose it, and the cookie is deleted after you answer.
Views and searches
YUNOVA counts how many times a skill, course, Study page, topic or Quick is opened, and which words are typed into search, so it can show view counts and what is popular. These are kept only as totals per day. To count a visit once rather than on every reload, a random id is kept in a cookie on your device (or your account id, if you are signed in) for 30 minutes in the server's memory, and never saved. We do not store who searched for what, we keep no personal search history, and a search that looks like an email address or phone number is not kept at all.
Who can see it
YUNOVA operators, and the providers needed to run the service: Supabase stores your account and your plan, and the hosting provider processes requests. No advertisers, and no creators.
Your choice
You can delete your account yourself, from your profile, without asking anyone. It removes your account and everything attached to it at once: your profile, your journeys, what you marked done, your certificates and the public pages that verify them, what you wrote in the community, and the marks you left on lessons. There is no undo and we keep no copy, so download anything you want to keep first. Support payments are voluntary and are not linked to your learning.
Contact
Privacy contact: helpyunova@gmail.com. The final retention wording must be published before YUNOVA opens to the public. Deleting your account does not need that address: it is a button in the product.
