What you should understandआपको क्या समझना है?

  • Use am with I, is with he, she, it and one thing, are with you, we, they and many things.
  • For the past, is and am become was; are becomes were: 'He was busy. They were busy.'
  • Make it negative by adding not: 'She is not ready.' In speech people say isn't, aren't, wasn't, weren't.
  • For a question, put the verb first: 'Are you free today?' 'Was the shop open?'
